renovation! &BONSAI BOTANIKA

For those individuals who still frequent this page; rejoice!

I have decided that I will spice up my timetable and attempt to blog about my daily adventures for those who still keep tabs on me. I said this previously, and it will probably happen again… my posts are dependent on my mood and whether I can actually be stuffed to sit down and type up my day.

So, as the first post of 2014; 86 days late of the new year, I shall give you a run down on everything that has happened so far. As some may already know, I’ve been working for the past 5 months. It’s an interesting experience to say the least. I have 2 bosses/managers (whatever you want to call them), and one of them acts as a ‘motherly’ figure. I say ‘motherly’ because all she does is nag me about my facial expressions all morning.

I AM SORRY. I CAN’T HELP IT IF MY FACIAL MUSCLES LOOSEN FROM TIME TO TIME AND I LOOK DEAD.

Working at my place isn’t all that jazzy, so that’d explain why I’d look bored from time to time. My customers are mainly those that frequent the hospital opposite the shopping centre or locals living around the centre. To summarise things vaguely, my working experience is kinda like an equilibrium. My ears have to suffer from my boss’ nagging, but I get paid for not doing much (half the time, the store is empty *U* -happy times)

I shall further update this blog, as the coffee shop is filling up on customers and my teapot and cup is basically empty. - 3:10pm

------

Okay, so after that abrupt ending I met up with my cousin to discuss our end of the year travel plans. I say cousin, cause the supposedly more responsible one bailed out last minute because he was sleeping... &We didn't end up discussing anything remotely related to travel plans. Topics ranged from life in general to our 'demonic' thoughts that have recently begun to surface more frequently.

All of this took place at the new korean/chinese restaurant at the Elizabeth Arcade named 'Ni Hao'. The food was pretty nice but we were expecting bigger dumplings... it was $10 for 12 boiled 4cm (at max) pork dumplings (RIP OFF!). The other food was nice though- I guess. Not much happened really, because everything I shall keep behind closed doors till the flood gates open. Which won't happen anytime soon since I'd just forget everything anyways.

Now onto my experience at 'Bonsai Botanika'! I do not understand why I have never entered this place before. Its interior layout is comfy and cosy and just screams for you to enter. The little teahouse/cafe is situated near 'Passiontree', and their menu offers a variety of beverages from your standard coffee to specialised Kyoto cool drip coffee. I was just really excited because they also offered tea! Initially, I thought that they would brew the tea in a cup, like they'd do for coffee, but no! for only $3.80 (Regular) I got a half full teapot of green tea!

The atmosphere and employees were also really laid-back and relaxed when compared to other cafes (passiontree is actually really noisy). The cafe has 2 floors, I sat opposite the counter mainly to glance at the down pour from time to time. It was a great place to study- I surprised myself as I completed all my LSB practice quizzes during my visit. Loved the decor &the employees aren't so bad looking either so that's a bonus; though I should explore the place for a bathroom...

GREAT PLACE. LOVELY TEA HOUSE. WILL DEFINITELY FREQUENT AGAIN!
on a side note: THEY HAVE THE EXACT SAME TEAPOT AS ME HAHAHA.
