so today was really meant to be a rest day/ or an easy day since my travel buddy had to fly back to brisbane early. therefore NO MORE EARLY MORNINGS. lies really
we woke at around 9am and met up with a new friend Carol who took us around to eat at nice places since my sydney friend is literally a tourist herself. we stopped by at KINOKUNIYA bookstore. FUUUUUUUAAARK WE NEED THIS IN BRISBANE DESPERATELY. all the manga/anime/jap mags/light novels/marvel mags. THE STORE HAS EVERYTHING FML. I cried a little inside when i saw the collection of light novels; too bad there weren't any english translated ones... they need to be licensed orz i can't survive on the translations on tumblr :'(
- I purchased one of the death note spin-offs and a dr. who (10th doc) keychain for my cousin and that's all. pretty disappointed that i couldn't find tablo's "pieces of you".
we then went deeper into the city and found a nice japanese restaurant. ordered the Udon Curry Lunch Set it was so worth the price tbh. h/e the curry udon was really different to what i was use to in the aspect that it wasn't enough curry soup? there was just enough soup to coat the noodles. the salad sides and miso soup were a great side and i loved how they finely chopped the eggs to garnish the sushi
we then went to go get dessert at the green tea shop right next door. THE DANGO BALLS ARE SO GOOOOOOOD. Brisbane really needs a store like this in the city. It'd be a big hit guaranteed.

SYD DAY4; MY BIRTHDAY
Tina left at like 7am and we walked her to the door and went back to sleep. left her to fend for herself in the freezing cold. i could't even open my eyes cause i teared yesterday when we got all deep and emotional and my eyes crusted over fml. work up at around 10am- nha went to wash up and i rolled myself up into a burrito/ tis very cold in sydney. then her cousin who never revealed himself till now walked into the room and ask if we wanted brunch. so much for first impressions gah.
He drove us to Paper Planes to have brunch- I loved the design of the place but damn was it crowded... had to wait 10mins just to get seated, our orders took a while as well/ not as long as twelve but still... a while.
I ordered the DEEP SOUTH BURGER W/CHIPS:it was extremely good. that's all i can really say now since i'm blogging like 5 days later... nha ordered another burger but it tasted exactly like a big mac hahaha.
we then went to the westfield and shopped till idk 3pm? we got home at around 5pm (THE EARLIEST EVER) and just slept off the night.

SYD DAY3; TGIFS
The results of underestimation of sydney weather: we're either melting in the heat or freezing our asses off.
Woke up late (even with 6 alarms) and had fried rice with peas and spam before heading off to Macquarie Shopping Centre. Did the usual girl stuff and met the Sydney bae #2. extremely blurry pics below cause you know...awks
After that we ate at TGI Fridays. summary of menu below. THE DRINKS WERE BOMBERS BTW SO DAYUUM GOOOD.
Drinks:-
+Strawberry Passion Iced Tea (bottom)
I REALLY LOVED THIS. 11/10 WOULD COME BACK JUST FOR THIS. It was sour yet sweet and overall just a lovely mocktail overall.
+Lemonade (right)
Extremely flavour-ful. This goes beyond the normal standards of a 'lemonade'.
+Strawberry Suprise (left)
Extremely overpowering strawberry flavour and the drink leans more towards the sweeter side
Foods:-
+Buffalo Chicken Tacos w/Chips (left)
It was great but I didn't like how the filling for the tacos fell out when I tried to pick it up to eat. But there was so much food though, totally worth the price. The buffalo wings were so chilly though.
+[WD] Jack Daniel's Steak (top)
Nicely cooked and the original Jack Daniel's was the highlight of the meal. Additionally the side of potato and gravy and vegetables were nice.
+French Dip Stacked Burger (bottom)
Beef was extremely tender and overall the dish was worth the price. Note, tabasco sauce gave this dish an extra kick for flavour.
We then went back to shopping, gushed over the sydney bae #2 and spent a shieeeeet load of moollah at Pandora on friendship rings (we sah cuuute).

Highlight of the day: someone was pronounced as an approved fckboy and I need to be more aware of my surroundings.

SYD DAY 2; USYD &N2
Konbanwa Mina-san! ( *¯ ³¯*)♡
we started the day late due to a certain Korean that had the need to put her face on before we left for brunch. we walked to the train station and then went all the way to the University of Sydney for comparison reasons. Honestly the campus like a mixture of QUT (buildings) AND UQ (landscape); maybe even a little bit of BSHS due to the overpass between campuses. some images for the Hogwarts like buildings below:
After that we went for brunch at “Twelve” (has a similar atmosphere to “Lost Boys” at the valley).
Summary of dishes below:
+Eggs Benedict w/bacon, fretta and avocado (bottom)
Every element of this dish was on point. The egg was perfectly poached and all the flavours of the dish worked well together.
+Calamari Fritti (not pictured)
This calamari was very soft and the aioli sauce completed the dish wonderfully
+Caesar Salad w/ poached egg (top left)
This dish was below average mainly due to the insufficient dose of dressing.
+Chicken Penne (top right)
Great dish tbh. It wasn't too creamy to the point where I'd easily get sick of it and the sauce was just right. However the chicken breast was a tad too dry for my taste.
+Doppio Coffee
Honestly my first time tasting this drink and it was as bitter as my soul. Had to add more than 6 packets of sugar just to finish the drink.
= OVERALL: All the dishes minus the Caesar salad was worth the price. I can't comment objectively on the doppio coffee mainly because this was my first time trying it and I have nothing to compare it to but this coffee would be perfect for someone who really appreciates coffee.

After brunch we set out on foot to find N2. we completely missed it and ended up walking up and down the streets trying to find it. the only positive from this was that we found a vintage handmade store that sold extremely cute necklaces and had a wide range of doctor who charms.
At N2 we had the following;

+Raspberry Aperto Gelato (incl. Alcohol, GF)
I personally loved this option. I'm pretty sure there was a mixture of white chocolate in the ice cream as the raspberry flavour did not over power the entire mixture. Additionally as you confines eating there would be bursts of flavour from the little chunks of raspberry.
+Choc Caramel Creme Egg (GF)
It was a caramel flavour overall with a hint of peanut butter ice cream. The creme brulee was the highlight of the dessert. However depending onb your tastes 2 scoops maybe a bit too much.
+Dulce De Cha-ja (incl. Alcohol, GF)
Basically a nice representation of naughty and nice in a little tub of ice cream. Friend ain't cooperating so I can't fully describe the dessert but it was a fun dessert with a sringe filled with rum inserted into the ice cream.
= OVERALL: so depending on how you like the consistency of your ice cream this maybe a bit and miss as it does melt pretty quickly. However the fruity flavours were incredibly good and I would definitly have it again; this is coming from someone who doesn't partically like raspberry flavours.

Buss-ed to the city and got jumped by the transport people. Thank god we used our opal cards today hahah (all day travel for only $2.50). Window shopped around the high end stores and then we split up to explore the city area. I HAD FOUND GONGCHA MY SAVING GRACE OF ALL GRACES. HOORAH FOR FREE DRINKS COUPONS. We did more window shopping and bumped into this veeeeeeeery cuuuute shop staff dude; no pics cause he was always in view point fml.
We then regrouped and trained home and bought for our home stay fambam.
I'm such a nice cousin buying my relatives tardis charms and all
ciao

SYD DAY1; trekking through sydney in heels
Geeeting fellow humans! (/^ヮ^)/*✧
if you have been following me on social media; I landed in Sydney last night at 5.40pm! Took a while to settle down at my place of accommodation for a the long week so there's not much to talk about there but. Tigerair... cheap flights yes. but so far all my experiences have been bad due to other customers. SERVICE &ALL OTHERS IS VERY GOOD.
Okay so down to the good stuff. SATURDAY: missed multiple buses because Tina had to put on her face. Eventually we got to the Sydney Fish Market and had some suuuuuper duuuuuuper fresh seafood. The Cheesy Scallop are a definite recommended. The have the scallop in the shell and there's cheese everywhere under then it's blazed with a blow torch. SURPRISE WHEN YOU EAT IT THERE'S RICE UNDERNEATH &there's a smokey after taste with the rice because it was blazed. HIGHLIGHT OF THE MARKETS TBH. the tuna was bloody nice as while; literally melts in your mouth.
Okay limited photos cause its 12AM SUNDAY right now. After fish it was the long walk to the Darling Harbour. Took so may photos like the tourist we are. We so dark though cause we Brisbaners honestly didn't think it'd be so sunny in Sydney during the Winter. TREKKED IN HEELED BOOTS INSTEAD OF MY TRAINERS PURELY BECAUSE OF THE SMELL OF FISH FML. walked along the pier all the way to the Sydney Opera House. I died. BUT HEY I FINALLY TOOK A PHOTO WITH MY LOVELY OPERA HOUSE (NO MORE NEED FOR PHOTOSHOP)
Spent around 2 hours there tbh. &went to the GUYLIAN CAFE. What we had below and a gist of how it tasted:
+ Guylian Mocha (left)
tbh I've never had a mocha before but it was actually pretty bitter. overall it was nice though after I added enough sugar to my taste.
+ Opera My Way Cake (bottom)
visually it looks very appealing h/e the cake was dense and the raspberry puree was really sweet. overall friend that ordered this said that it was not worth the $$$
+ Coffee Eclairs (right)
the coffee taste wasn't very intense in the coffee icing really just a chock full of cream
+ Ice Coffee w/ Caramel Syrup &Soy Milk (top)
SOMEONE DRANK CARAMEL so there was only ice coffee with soy. nothing special here.
= OVERALL: basically paid $$$ for the view and location. Customer service was spot on though. Would've been nicer if we chose to dine on the pier instead of inside the cafe.
OFF TO OUTDOOR ICE SKATING! but before that we wandered around city looking for a non existent vodafone store to charge a friend's phone; walked up and down the same street so many times I lost count. so we headed into the APPLE store to charge her phone. we then trained to city and and full on slid across the ice rink on my ass in front of half the population. black pants were literally as white as snow! There even had the inflatable balls were you enter and roll around in the water!
Dinner was at this place called Pepper Lunch. it was myeh- mainly because I ordered an udon dish. Steak was good &worth the money. Sukiyaki chicken w/udon was terrible mainly due to the overall taste of the dish and how incredibly soggy the udon noodles were. Finally, the kimchi chicken rice with cheese was great- basically like a bowel of bibimbap.

We had AQUA S ice-cream after and its great fucking love. Green apple is a bit too sweet for me though. BUT TOTALLY WORTH THE $$$ EVEN IN THIS COLD AS WINTER. HOME BOUND AND NOW IT'S 1AM FML. Need to be up in 6 hours for the next set of adventures; THIS TIME IN MY TRAINERS.
I have so many photos but damn I either look like a sped, a kid or being a hardcore third wheel somewhere in the background. my life is just a struggle.
I can't deal right now I need sleep and fanfic
ciao
